I am concerned the red neck feathered one is a roo. Speckled sussex, pullet or roo Jump to latest 6k views 6 replies 3 participants last post by hotchickenlady may 13, 2017 hotchickenlady discussion starter Is my speckled sussex a hen or roo 🫣 she/he is 7 weeks and a few days old I'm hopeful because the comb seems small and pale and she/he is the same size.
The speckled sussex chicken is one of the most attractive poultry birds Know about its eggs, color, size, temperament, varieties, pictures. Hi, we have been with these 2 sussex for about 9 weeks or so But just reading some the the threads here, i began to suspect that at least one of them is a roo, m But what i'm not sure is n Do you think she is a hen, or a roo
Some of the best chickens i've been around were mixed breed They seem to be better foragers, better mothers, and lay more eggs then their parent breed alone Not to mention they can look quite nice too One of my favorites is rhode island red crossed with barred rocks Can anyone help me determine if these two chicks are hen or roo They are both 8 week old speckled sussex they were sold to me as pullets but they look rooish to me.
But i have never owned speckled sussex before so i don't have anything to compare them too The first one is the absolute. Does anyone have photos of the female offspring of a speckled sussex rooster over a delaware hen cross, either as chicks or in full adult plumage I know these are red sex links, but i also have some chicks that are from a speckled sussex rooster over buff orpington hens and i want to be able. Just picked up this speckled sussex I’m hoping it is a pullet as that’s what it’s supposed to be…
I know the third picture is a cockerel The first one so far looks like a pullet. Speckled sussex with hardy comb Easter egger (left) roo or pullet My girls were guaranteed to be 90% correctly sexed as females Is this speckled sussex a pullet or roo
I was told it’s a she but i’m second guessing… about 12 weeks old. Looks just like the black ameraucana from cackle hatchery pics. Do you say pullet or roo for this one All these pics are the same bird. We just had our broody buff orpington hen (linda’s stewart) hatch 6 chicks She is in a coop and run with one speckled sussex roo with 10 isa brown hens and 7 speckled sussex hens
So i crossed a speckled sussex roo with my silkies I have one black silkie and one partridge silkie Only one egg hatched so not sure which hen this is from But here are the results and i am in love!! This little one is probably 4 months old now I was not sure if he was gonna get to full.
Hello all, as the title says, i’ve got almost a 10 week old speckled sussex The tail is a bit too pointy for comfort, but the comb isn’t really red We’ve had “accidental” roo’s before and at 10 weeks their combs were pretty red and bigger Please tell me what you think it is.
