Thank you for this awesome tip and saving me hours of aggravation tearing into fork tubes. Try a fork sealer tool first to see if it clears the debris causing the leak If not, the seal may actually be bad You could take the front forks out and bring just that to a shop and save a little money that way. I have an '01 yz 125 with a pretty bad leaking fork seal Is there a quick fix so i can go riding tomorrow, untill i get new seals?, etc
How to add oil?) ? One of the forks is leaking oil I've traced it to the part where the lower threads into the seal holder What are the odds that i don't have that junction tight enough vs British motorcycles on ebay re Leaking fork oil after rebuild armymutt # 738217 06/10/183:23 am joined
I had maybe 100 miles on the bike and didn't notice any fork oil leak But after a fork oil change, i'm getting some leaking. The fork, part of a motorcycle’s suspension, is filled with oil and is susceptible to leaks, especially in older bikes Fork oil leaks develop for various reasons, but in most cases, debris gets caught in the seal and holds it open, leading to friction and damage.
