This kind of thing mainly happened in middle/high school but when you're with a group of people and someone of the opposite gender is passing by to greet and hug every last person there except for you, that really just makes you feel like shit. How do you deal with being the only single person in a friend group I'm 34, and currently i have a great group of friends in my area, all of whom are a bit younger than i am, which is a side effect of my having gone back for a second master's degree. Remember, not everyone in a relationship is happy in their relationship Some just don’t want to be alone and put up with their partner It ain’t always how it seems
But, keep doing you, work on things you want and actively date Please don’t settle either if you’re wanting a relationship, ensure you do actually like the person. If you’re “a hugger,” you probably think of hugs as casual, positive expressions of affection or inclusion, and that’s great But, some others weren’t raised in a context where hugging was common, so they’re uncomfortable with hugs, and that’s okay Others love hugs with people they’re emotionally close to, but no one else—they may be affectionate. I'm not really much for physical affection with friends and family either
Exceptions only for rare instances with other people Otherwise i save hugs and kisses for my cat, who receives attention from me to an utterly obnoxious extent. How do you handle it when you're the only single person remaining in your friend group Not that there's anything wrong with being single, it's perfectly fine for me expect on somedays when, everyone is with their sos and you're the only remaining, the one who's not into dating scene. Literally everyone in my friend group has a boyfriend I’m happy for them, but i’m also sad because i don’t have a person to hug or cuddle with
