An oil leak from the bottom of your engine can be a frustrating and potentially costly problem

If you’ve recently noticed oil dripping from your 27 hp kohler engine, it’s important to identify the source of the leak and take action to fix it. Common signs include oil puddles under the engine, smoky exhaust, and decreased oil levels Kohler command engine oil leaking problems can be fixed by replacing faulty parts, tightening fasteners, or addressing issues with seals and gaskets Regular maintenance and prompt attention to leaks can prevent more serious engine damage. I've got a steady leak at the bottom of the motor and the deck More at the corner where the engine bolt is to the front of the motor

Could it be the drain plug under the oil filter to the right How much does it need to be torqued I since wiped it clean before the pic By understanding the potential causes, diagnosing the issue, and following proper maintenance practices, you can keep your engine running smoothly for years to come. In this video i show 4 of the most common oil leak areas on commercial and residential mowers with kawasaki & kohler twin cylinder engines I also show how to change the oil cooler hoses on a z950m.

It looks like it is leaking somewhere between the frame where engine sits and the bottom of the engine

It seems to be running out from under the engine I can post pics later What could be in between there that would leak? The only thing i could think of would be the crank seal but i wouldn’t think that would leak above the frame. With that much oil suddenly coming out, that points to a bigger hole than just a leaking seal, such as a seal popping out of it's base, or a bolt coming out Normally, i would recommend washing/cleaning the heck out of the engine, topping up the oil, then briefly running the engine to see where the leak is, but with that much oil coming out, i would be concerned with water/cleaning fluid.
