The purpose of this document is to describe the calculations and analysis used to evaluate the radiation levels of four inmarsat satellite terminals The four terminals are hns, t&t, nera and addvalue. To calculate the safe distance from a radiation source, you need to know the source’s activity, the type of radiation emitted, and the permissible dose The formula involves balancing these factors to determine the distance that will keep radiation exposure within safe limits. The radiation hazard scale is intended to communicate relative hazards to populations under emergency conditions when exact radiation exposure parameters for specific individuals are not available. In order to permit warning of potential radiation hazards to be displayed in appropriate places, a label should be attached to the radome indicating the distance at which radiation levels of 100 w/m2, 25 w/m2 and 10 w/m2 exist.
The analysis contained herein predicts the radiation levels around the proposed antenna The calculations contained in this report are in accordance with fcc guidelines as contained in cfr 47 part 1.1310 and oet bulletin 65. Which statement concerning exposure to radiation is true A) the inmarsat unit's ray dome filters out potentially dangerous uv rays B) certain inmarsat systems will automatically transmit when called and can expose an individual to harmful radiation.
