So i think the boys and gen v are more gorey because they take a more realistic look at what people with super powers would be like They don’t always have control over their abilities, they don’t always know how to use it safely, and sometimes they also do dumb shit with their powers. Showrunner eric kripke views the controversial boys season 4 scene as hilarious and a play on batman's dark side The scene was inspired by the batcave being reimagined as a sex dungeon The storyline was adapted from a comic where hughie goes undercover as a superhero. The more i watch the current iteration of the boys, the more i realize just how much better gen v’s first season was by comparison
