Here is an easy one My tranny gasket was about gone so i replaced it I dropped the pan, changed the filter and gasket and then replaced the pan I put four qaurts dextron/mercron iii tranny fluid into it Started motor, let it get hot, shifted through all gears and checked the fluid level. Div.,fpc2, 27n130391 these are exactly as inscribed on tranny
I've hear 400 turbo transmission and 700r transmission Looking to buy a new one rather then a rebuilt one It would be used as a daily driver and cruiser. Will the 700r4 bolt up to a 283 My car is a column shift, is there a conversion to keep it on the column Since the trannny is new, and it's got new fluid in it, it was so clean that i couldn't tell if it was full or not on the dipstick, so i overfilled it by about a quart (or maybe a more).
